Peter’s industry background began in radio, then electrical registration, electronics engineering, printed circuit board development, micro-processor development, industry automation and SCADA/HMI development. Working in the arena of Systems Integration Peter started a company in 1985. In the early 1990’s Peter pioneered distributed I/O communications protocol now known as DeviceNet (CAN). In the late 1990’s Peter researched distributed control philosophy based on an emerging standard known as IEC-61499 becoming an internationally recognised leader in the field with application to industrial and agricultural products. A graduate of the ICEHOUSE owner/manager programme run in association with Auckland University Peter runs a successful electronics product manufacturing business which implements the advance business models such as LEAN manufacturing which introduced in 2008 and is growing the business to become a global exporter. He has also expanded the company’s core expertise in electronics and automation into businesses covering indoor and outdoor automated electronic display boards as well as energy-saving home automation.
